Amy graduated from University College Cork in 2023 with a first class honour in a Bachelor of Music degree. She began learning music at the age of 8, starting with the accordion, followed by the fiddle, flute, tin whistle and piano. She is a competent musician and teacher, and she has won various awards such as two county championship titles within the same day on the flute and tin whistle and she has competed up to grade 8 in the Royal Irish Academy of Music piano exams.

Despite only being a recent music graduate, Amy has 5 years of music teaching experience. She began teaching classes in person in Kerry and Cork and eventually in 2020 was forced to move some classes online due to the pandemic. Since then, she has discovered various benefits of offering online classes and now offers them to students alongside the option of in-person classes.
